Shannah Tan

Shannah (she/her) is a Taiwanese-American who was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She studied Psychology and Economics at UC Berkeley then moved to Salt Lake City and later Seattle. As a kid, she loved to swim at the local community pool or bike in the park. With the guidance and support of her community and friends, she started going on hiking, camping, skiing, and climbing adventures. Shannah is excited to help Outdoor Asian amplify community stories, advocate for inclusive, safe outdoor recreation, and redefine what it means to get outside.
