Washington State Event Coordinator
Yvan Tran (Ý Vân Trần) is a 2nd generation Vietnamese-American who was born and raised in Orange County, CA. She has a BFA in Fashion Design, where her designs have taken her to earn achievements, such as the California Fashion Foundation Design Award and the Orange County Fair Division Winner. Yvan's personal favorite achievement was when her sustainable tailored coat made out of hemp, old denim jeans, and plastic bag won her a scholarship to the Weaving Kind Makerie, where she got to weave in the beautiful Colorado outdoors. Yvan has now recently called Washington her new home and works in the outdoor apparel industry as a Materials Developer.
Her true love for the outdoors sparked when she did excursions in Vietnam, from kayaking around the islets of Ha Long Bay to hiking the highest mountain in Indochina region. From that point forward, she strives to combine her passion for outdoors, sustainability, and apparel into her personal and professional life. While she's not on the clock, Yvan is always looking to re-purpose existing clothing, thriting vintage finds, and sewing. Or, you can find her hiking, camping, or shooting at the range.
